Are These Three Parables About The Temple?

On the Tuesday of the last week of Jesus' mortal life, He gave His last three parables. There seems to be a buzz about these parables today. Ambrosia Fox believes they are all about the temple. Listen to this interesting interpretation of the Ten Virgins, Talents, and Sheep and Goats.

all right in this episode I speak with Ambrosia Fox she's someone I have had a few discussions with on the last three
parables that Jesus gives on the Mount of Olives in the last week of his life this is something I'm very focused on
something I'm very interested in and she has a very different take on this in terms of uh well it's an approach of
temple theology it's about the temple let me know in the comments what you think about her approach to these
parables this episode is brought to you by Go and Do Travel i am the official spokesman for go and do travel and this
episode is brought to you by the journey of wisdom the journey of wisdom leaves the second half of September we cover
three different continents we go into the teachings of Paul and John and
Abraham and Joseph of Egypt and of Moses we contrast everything with the
philosophies of men that are pushed on us today in our culture and the sites are incredible athens the Greek Isles

all right welcome to Quick Show my name is Greg Matson and I am your host in this episode we bring on Ambrosia Fox
who was in Egypt with me i'm in Egypt now here in Cairo and Ambrosia was with me in Egypt were you in Turkey also i'm
trying to remember yeah yeah in Turkey also yeah that's right yeah great just a few months back and we had a
conversation recently while I was driving to Utah and we were talking
about the parables in Matthew 25 and you had some insight and uh I wanted to
bring you on for it and here you are so welcome to the show yeah thank you so
you had talked in that conversation we had about maybe we ought to go to the
third parable first with the sheep and the goats uh any some insights that you
felt were spiritually motivated and and that you wanted to share why don't you start there sure um well for the last I
don't know few months I've been going to the temple a lot and uh asking questions it's always good to ask the Lord
questions and then he'll start teaching you and uh I was reading in Matthew and
something I want to say the spirit kind of always asks
me did you notice this or did you see this or what do you think of that and
all of a sudden I'll start pondering and then scriptures will come into my mind and then it's like I don't know
lightning bolts go off and all of a sudden I'm deep into study so while I
was reading Matthew 25 um the very last parable of sheep and the
goats it was like mind-blowing because like we in this church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints do all of this and um the way that it's put in scripture is
in an order so what do I mean by that well if we go to Matthew 25 you can
follow along if you want i'm just going to read the beginning um this one starts
in verse 31 and it's basically um Christ comes in his glory and he's sitting on a
throne so how I started with I I did some
episodes on YouTube and um put this out so in those episodes I start by explaining that if he's sitting on a
throne then that means he's a king and if he's a king he's the most righteous
king and then that connects to um in Hebrew king is mel and then righteous is
sedc so when you put those two together it means mazdc so when you understand the actual
scene that's actually happening he is basically officiating over his order
right so it gives you a different context this is not just a scene at the end of the world where everybody is
there this is actually the accounting of his flock basically so with that in
context let's now read it his jud the judgment yeah yeah he's
going to judge basically us by what we did with what he gave us um so and before him shall be
gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats and he shall set the sheep on his
right hand but the goats on his left then shall the king say unto them on his right hand "Come ye blessed of my father
inherit the kingdom prepared for you for the from the foundation of the world for
I was in hungered and he gave me meat i was thirsty and he gave me drink i was a stranger and he took me in naked and he
clothed me i was sick and he visited me i was in prison and he came unto me." Then shall the righteous answer him
saying Lord when saw we thee a hungered and fed thee or thirsty and gave thee drink when saw we thee a stranger and
took thee in or naked and clothed thee or when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee and the king shall
answer and say unto them verily I say unto you in as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren ye have done it unto me so that scripture regardless of if you knew
where it was every single church that's out there today does those things because of this
scripture right we have that golden rule if you don't hurt somebody if you don't
want to be hurt we we we take this as a principle that we live by
but any parable that the Lord gave is always done in layers and we can always
go and gather and go deeper and deeper into them so what I'm going to share is
a way deeper understanding um that I really do believe the Lord is
uh allowing us to really understand right now because I do believe the time is short and if you listen to the
prophet and what he's trying to say you're going to truly understand that this probably is very close to what the
Lord is saying so back in verse 35 so I was in hungered
and you gave me meat i was thirsty and you gave me drink the first question that came to my mind
was wait a minute that's an ordinance i was thirsty and
hungry that's the ordinance of the
sacrament bread and water so if the first one is an ordinance of
the sacrament then could it be that all the other ones are also ordinances and
if they are are they in the same order in which we do them because God has an order right so the second part is I was
a stranger and ye took me in well you know this as well as I do
when you are baptized that's the second ordinance because technically when my
kids are sitting on the bench they're partaking of the sacrament and I'm teaching them about Christ and his atonement right so they do actually
partake of the sacrament before baptism but baptism is um and we'll go
into a little bit further into that a little bit later but um we are literally
being adopted in so if you look up the Greek word for stranger
uh it actually means just foreigner so I was a gentile and you
took me into the house of Israel is how I read that
um next is naked and you clothed me well right after baptism there's a time
period where we wait but uh when we go into the temple the next ordinance that you partake of is the
initiatory wherein we are washed anointed and clothed in the garment of
the holy priesthood now that garment of course is actually just a representation
of the saving power of Jesus Christ his atonement and I like to uh in this
parable it says that it was prepared from the foundation of the world so if we go back to the foundation when Adam
and Eve were in the Garden of Eden God said to Christ to uh
Christ clothe them and not only did he tell tell him to clothe them he actually
said make coats of skins so Christ was the actual
first to make a sacrifice or take a life of a living thing to clothe Adam and
Eve's nakedness and he was the last with his own life right so naked
and he clothed me is a lot deeper than just doing the local coat drive and
sending it to the homeless shelter right those are good things but
Um the next one I was sick and you visited me um if you look up the Greek
word for sick that he used it just simply means weak you were weak and I
visited you well when we visit with each other we go back and forth and we talk
and we both are edified and we learn and grow from other people's experiences
um so the next ordinance after the initiatory is of course the endowment
now endowment is short for um endowed with power from on high so if you're
weak and somebody visits you and teaches you you are endowed or you are
strengthened with God's power right um so that one would be the
endowment and the last one is I was in prison and ye came unto me so obviously
the prison that he's talking about here is actually spirit
prison we every time we come to the temple and bring a name of somebody else
we are literally coming unto those who cannot
do it for themselves so when I was um when I realized this I
thought well that's that means that everybody everybody has to partake in this
everybody has to go through the temple but I know a lot of people and I have people in my family who um don't want to
do that and so I was kind of in an emotional um worry and so I went to the temple and
I was sitting in the uh chapel getting ready and the spirit said "Pick up the
scriptures." So I grabbed the scriptures and I kind of thumbmed it down and um DNC tab 100 um kind of stood out to me
so I opened it up and on that page uh it's the DNC 999 and
then underneath is just the section heading for 101 and I felt prompted to read 99
instead and as I read 99 um I realized that this is truth uh
because further down in Matthew 25 of course he says "If you've done it
unto the least of these my brethren you've done it unto me." And it came to my mind that that is
actually written kind of in sort of a code or in other words it's a principle
so in DNC 999 it is a mission call um
and he says who so receiveth you receiveth me and you shall have power to
declare my word in the demonstration of my Holy Spirit and who so receiveth you
as a little child receiveth my kingdom and blessed are they for they shall obtain mercy and who so rejectth you
shall be rejected of my father and his house and you shall cleanse your feet in the secret places
so it's it's it's the same um idea there
and so the I like to rephrase it and say anytime you have brought um an
ordinance or um even taught by the spirit to someone then you have brought
that someone unto Christ and if you choose not to share that or to um be
moved upon by the Holy Spirit to share that with someone then you
basically have buried that talent in the ground right and not shared
it so as I was pondering this and realized
that this is definitely one of the layers of how to interpret
this um it it it comes up all the time don't listen to anybody's theories or
interpretations unless the prophets have said it and and I I do agree with that
um but I do want to point out that in this parable it says that the righteous didn't know um and I would also point out
that if that knowledge is coming now and if the Holy Ghost
does testify to your heart that what I'm telling you is true then we are very
close sorry that's my laptop that's okay
um and the thing is is is we we are in his church and we are not
just here to be saved ourselves we are here as his
servants to go out and gather the world right that that's actually what we're
here to do so let's put this into context so
this is a those three parables right the because this is the third of the three
parables we've just gone over you mentioned it in reference quickly the the parable of the talents right before
that is the 10 virgins this is all in context if you go to Matthew 24 beginning there it's about the end it's
about the second coming yes right it's about when when is when is Christ coming
again and and then he comes to these parables and gives them as examples of being ready for that second coming right
so when he talks about the throne he's talking about coming in his glory as the king of kings and um so you're saying
that in that third parable at least that it it's almost like you're saying
this is the covenant path right it's almost like it's the covenant path that you're going through
um and this is what you need to go through in order to help usher in the second coming or to be prepared for me
yes um I I would say if we start in Matthew
24 and we really read what he's saying um he
says that there'll be many false pre many false Christs and false prophets
and and if they tell you to go to the desert don't go there i'm not there i'm I'm not in the secret chamber where I am
is I'm going to come like the sun from the east but when we think about the sun
from the east it rises slowly and it actually starts at
midnight like that's when your day starts and you can
sleep until 6:00 in the morning and wake up and see those very first little shoots of light that are coming
out or you can sleep till noon and it'll be midday so I guess you have to ask your
qu yourself the question where are we um uh I think it was Elder Holland i
don't know i think I can read it he actually did state that the the second coming started with Joseph
Smith um and and I would agree with him in that it was the early morning hours
and the rays of his um glory and and light and knowledge
started to to rise right and and I think like I don't know about you you
have you have interviewed a ton of people um and there are a lot of LDS people right now online that are are
just saying the most amazing things and uh I've been reading scriptures unlike I
ever have before it's like it's like I don't know the goggles are off and we're
we're kind of reading deeper and deeper and it's almost like those rays are are
up and and we're waking up and we're like supposed to run around
and tell people hey like this is his gospel it's here um and people just
don't know but the the parables uh found in Matthew 25 are actually all linked
it's it's all um it all paints a picture in fact um I would state that yes it's
in the principle of a parable the sheep and goats but it's actually a prophecy because he doesn't say "And I'm
going to give you another parable." He actually just simply says he finishes
the talents and then he says "And when um we get to this part of it then this
is what's going to happen." So it's actually an explanation of the talents um the talents if you uh go to
Elma 12 and you read um he talks about giving his
word and he gives the word so in the in the parable of the talents he talks about giving the word to each or giving
the talent to each of them to their several abilities in other words what they will accept what what their ability
is to comprehend or digest um and each of us are different right some of us can
take things in a lot more some of us can't i mean even in religions um some people just cannot accept
um what we're doing in our religion right and and and they're they're still
doing great work for God um and
um Joseph Smith if you go to the Joseph Smith translation of that chapter uh he
changes a couple things so he starts with the parable of the 10 virgins and
he adds um he adds "And then at that day before the son of man comes." Now that's
not in the original King James mhm and then it starts the kingdom of heaven is
likened unto 10 virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom so from that we understand
that Joseph Smith is giving us a time frame so before his second coming or
before the son of man comes this is what the kingdom of heaven is going to be like and then in the King James also the
transition between uh the parable of the 10 virgins and the talents it starts
again with here's a parable here's the kingdom of heaven but Joseph Smith takes
that out he removes the kingdom of heaven and he
also adds one verse that says "Now I will liken these things," meaning the
parable of the 10 virgins unto a parable for it is like a man traveling into a
far country so he he takes out that the talents is about the kingdom of heaven
and he connects it to the parable of the uh
of the virgins the 10 virgins yeah so So you have to ask yourself why did he do
that why did he separate them or connect them that way but then remove that it's
the kingdom of heaven and why and how does the talents actually explain the 10
virgins um so as I was studying I I took verse four it says
while the bridegroom terried they all slumbered and slept so I went to the
Greek word used for slumbered and slept and sure it comes up with asleep
or um a slumber is knotting off or almost falling asleep and not quite there yet it's also a term that can be
used for death meaning when Christ came and he set up
his church all of those that had the testimony of Christ or had the knowledge
of him all the Christians around the world through time they are
where well they're sleeping or in other words they're in the spirit world so
then when you go into the parable of the talents he says he gives his
um goods to his servants and his servants are supposed to go out and they're supposed to
uh bring back with us or or add unto it bring more souls with this word right
so when you understand that what Joseph is saying is that the kingdom of heaven
is all of us who have who have ever lived we are I mean technically you
could say we are um technically born into death in this world um because
uh well okay so if you go back to the Garden of Eden Yeah adam and Eve could have lived
forever god says to Christ "Place a sword a flaming sword in front of the
tree of life um lest Adam and Eve put forth their hand and live forever in
their sins." Right so they could have they could have still lived forever but he basically
um cut them off and uh if you even go
deeper into understanding what we do in the temple what all of those ordinances
are for and you pattern it after a birth
um when you're born or when you're in the womb of your mother and you're being
um you're growing and you're given all the nutrients that you need then of course you come out through the birth
canal and the birth canal would be
baptism right in John 3 Nicodemus he's talking to Nicodemus and he says "You
can't see the kingdom of heaven unless you've been born again." And of course Nicodemus is like "What how do I do that?" And he says
"Well flesh is flesh and spirit is spirit." Or in other words he's telling you to look for the same pattern that is
in the flesh look for the same pattern that happens in the spirit in fact he
gets upset with him and he says "What you're a master in Israel and don't know this or in other
words you do these things in the temple and you don't know what they're for
right nicodemus should have known so and and this is probably what he told his disciples so
baptism which they had they had a big basin on top of 12 oxen right um and
they would wash before they went into the temple so if baptism is coming through the birth canal and being born
then being born again in the spirit would be um we come into the kingdom of
God right and then as a baby is born what do we do well we wash their body
off from the amniotic fluid and we wash off what is stuck to them from inside the mother's womb and we um maybe put a
little bit of baby oil on to prepare their skin for the air cuz they've been in water and then of course we clothe
them and sometimes mothers will knit something or have something special that they will put on their baby when they're
born and so that's the initiatory and then as they continue um the mother then
and the father teach them all the laws that are in this world right so they
teach them about gravity they teach them how to walk how to crawl how to run they teach them how to talk how to write how
to converse with each other they teach them the laws of the land how um you
know uh don't speed don't uh lie don't steal they teach them all the laws and
when we go through the endowment we are learning the laws of
God's world right the kingdom of God and we're learning it here for being prepared to actually stand in his
kingdom and live the laws there um but the most beautiful part of
that connection is that going back to Adam and Eve when he placed a sword in
front of the tree of life well the tree of
life h and you know this is a representation of the mother right and
and if you look at the placenta inside a mother's womb it looks just like a tree
root it goes into the mother and its nutrient and then it comes out through a trunk right we have a cord that goes
into the fruit or in other words the baby so it's all like
um connected to that and and he God basically when they parttook of the
fruit of the tree of good and evil he basically took a sword which is
similitude of scissors and he cut them and it's a flaming sword in other words
he cauterized it that's it we are literally when we get here we are born
into death we will die so when we get through the veil the most
beautiful understanding that we can understand here is that we are sealed that is the last
ordinance that happens is we are sealed back to eternal life we are not cut
right that's that's the most beautiful difference that you can understand when you get to the temple and you become
sealed right so let me back up just a little bit then so you were talking more about how the
parable of the talents compare is is uh tied to the the
10 virgins right so go over that a little bit more so so okay so if we are born into death
then we are either slumbering we are going to die we are nodding off to death
or we are asleep we are dead there there is multitudes and multitudes of people
who are dead so in order for us to understand what our job is as those who
are his servants which is what he says in the talents he comes and he gives to
his servants his goods well what are what are God's goods well it's his word right
and through that word we then um take that word to other people and it
is comes into them and he receives more souls and more souls and and
um we end up increasing
right so what's our job then our job as
members of his church in the end times is
to go not only to the people here who are slumbering but also to the people
who are asleep the 10 virgins and those when we go and do those ordinances in
the temple for the dead we are literally bringing those ordinances or that oil
you could say and handing it to them and they get to choose to be wise and take
it or not be wise and not take it so I like to think of the oil as the
covenants that we make because all the virgins had a lamp right they all they
all get the chance to um well virgin
virgin simply just means that you're saving yourself right and and Christ is the bridegroom
um I always found it interesting that uh that we always think that the church
is the 10 virgins and I'm like no the church is the bride so who are the ver who are the 10 virgins well there are
people who are saving theirel for Christ right they're they're those that have not
um gone off and and decided to stay in Babylon maybe i
don't know but um so what we are
doing as the people that hold his talents or his gospel his ordinances his
his authority is we are basically the runners in that story
we come so so in in Jewish
um custom the bride is in one place and the groom is with his
father and half an hour before all of they send out servants and the servants
go through every single street and they knock on every single door and they cry out "The bridegroom cometh go ye out to
meet him." Right and and and then of course in the parable of the 10 versions it say that they take their lamps and
they trim them or in other words they get ready and then of course the foolish say
well wait a second we need your oil and they say uh no we can't give you any oil
right because um there won't be enough for us and you go ye down to them that
sell and buy for yourself so who who's the seller of the
oil then who sells it where do you go to get
oil right and it it's it's also interesting that
they say there won't be enough for us and you
or is what they're saying my covenant doesn't cover you you have to take your
own right and you have to go to the place that you take that
covenant and you have to sacrifice or in other words buy which is a term used for
you have to sacrifice something it's of worth it costs it's going to cost you something so um I would say that so
these would be the these are people that have not made their covenants yet in the temple ready for the second
Yeah yeah i mean obviously parables are in layers and and I'm not I'm not saying
I know all the ins and outs of that i'm just saying this is this is kind of what's come to my mind and the way that
I understand um how to read that but um there is a
uh let me see okay so I talked a little bit about
um how Joseph Smith changed it to the uh kingdom of heaven and took out the
kingdom of heaven in the parable um of the talents right and he he talked he he
takes out that one well interestingly enough I was doing my study and and
um in the DNC there is a section that pulls all
three parables into one and kind of helps you uh see it even deeper and and
he uses uh the kingdom of God now the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven
we use interchangeably i I went in and read a few talks of of people and we use that interchangeably but this section
it's section 65 was actually a prayer and it wasn't just a prayer it was a
revelatory prayer in other words it was words that were given to Joseph
Smith from the understanding that God had of those two terms so listen to this for a second
hearken and lo a voice as of one sent down from on high who is mighty and
powerful whose going forth is unto the ends of the earth so knock on every door
right ya whose voice is unto men prepare ye the way of the Lord make his path
straight so you could say path like covenant path right make it straight the
keys of the kingdom of God are committed unto men on the
earth talents right and from then shall the gospel
roll forth unto the ends of the earth as a stone which is cut out of the mountain
without hand shall roll forth until it has filled the whole earth ya a voice
crying prepare ye the way of the Lord prepare ye the supper of the lamb
another link to the 10 virgins where are they going they're going to the wedding feast
right make ready for the bridegroom prepare uh pray unto the Lord
call upon his holy name make known his wonderful works among the people so what
did the person who got the one talent do he didn't make known he didn't take it
out he dug it in the earth and hid it and when go Christ comes back he says
"You should have at least gone to the exchangers." Now where do we hear about
the exchangers the only place that Christ ever got angry in scripture was with the
money changers the exchangers right they would exchange um the the things that uh
the people would bring so that then go into the temple right so what are we
supposed to do we're supposed to take all of this out to people and um grow it
right like grow it in the hearts of everyone so there's a parable of the talents call upon the Lord that his
kingdom may go forth upon the earth that the inhabitants thereof may receive it
and be prepared for the days to come in the which the son of man shall come down
in heaven clothed in his brightness of his glory to meet the kingdom of God which is set upon the earth there's a
link to the goats right uh sheep and goats parable where he comes and sits on
the throne of his glory and then here's where he separates the two wherefore may the kingdom of
God or what we're doing right now go forth that the kingdom of heaven may
come that thou oh God mayest be glorified in heaven so on earth that
thine enemies may be subdued for thine is the honor power and glory forever and
ever amen so just in that one section he pulled from every single parable
uh in Matthew 25 so I guess the picture that I'm
trying to paint here in my understanding is that the parable of the 10 virgins is
about everyone uh in the spirit world and us here we are still trying to get
people to go and take their own um ordinances out um and if you look at the
parable of the talents uh it's it's it's interesting
because he gives two talents and he gives five talents and one talent and in the ironic
priesthood there's two ordinances that they can perform baptism and the
sacrament and in the mechazdc priesthood there's five ordinances that they can perform so I I find that connection
interesting um but I do believe that the talents are his gospel are his word um
and uh if you go into
um Elma 12 uh he talks about So if you're going back into the talents and
you're saying "Okay this is these are this is missionary work." Are you saying is it is it uh um how we're spreading
the gospel to prepare for the second coming of Christ yeah um and some people
spread it more than others and others bury it and they don't talk about
Christ and they don't worry about uh preparing for the second coming there's no prepare you the way with them well
you well you we'd have to go a little bit further into uh understanding exactly who that one is it's also uh
interesting to note that there's three and that one is one-third and where have we heard 1/3 again
third of the host of heaven right and and what they get in their parable of the talents is they they get that
removed and they are not redeemed so who are they if you want to go even deeper into
So they're getting Let me go back up again we're looking at the the tal the talent being the word of God then then
they have the word of God removed from them yeah if you go into Elma
12 he is he he goes over it and you'll understand it a bit more and and I mean
I can't read it all but he is talking about um like if you read Elma 12 and then you
go and read uh the talents and um the very end of the talents he says you're
going to go where um the devil and his angels are prepared and you're going to be in fire uh in Elma 12 he says "And
then th the time when their torment shall be as a lake of fire and brimstone whose flames ascend up forever and ever
and then is the time that they shall be chained down to everlasting destruction according to the power and captivity of
Satan." He having subjected them according to his will
um so this is the people who harden their hearts and
don't won't accept Christ as their savior that's that's who they are after knowing him right that is the only sin
that you cannot be redeemed from in this life or in the next so I've always looked at the parables myself i look at
it as there's the other place that you get a reference to the talents is in Ether 12
and so you go to Ether 12 and Moroni is inserted very strongly in there and this is where he's talking about faith hope
and charity and spiritual gifts and he's inserting himself there because he's talking about the Gerodites who have who
you know they're not waiting for the second coming but there's another end that is coming and that's the end of
their civilization right they're going to to be completely destroyed and and he's he's kind of pushing back saying
"Look this is you have a lack of faith hope and charity in this with the
Geredites." And uh this is when Cory Antimmer comes in and then everything
completely goes downhill and and then you get it also again in Moroni 10 with
with faith hope and charity and you really if you look at Moroni 10 we always think of that verse four verse
four which is you know read these things and the spirit will tell you if these things are true talking about the Book
of Mormon but that's a tiny little piece of what that chapter really means that
the actual ending message for Moroni is about spiritual gifts and faith hope and
charity because he's at the end of his civilization everything is completely falling apart and it's like okay this is what happened
and it happened because there's no faith hope and charity and and faith hope and charity is what brings you forward we've
lacked it and we've gone completely backward and but in so very strong message from from
Moroni but in that Ether 12 he brings up the talents it's so interesting he's he
talks about the talents and and this is 400 years after Christ and now he's talking face to face
to Christ and and so maybe Jesus is telling him this again and telling him
about this parable or I always consider this with the Book
of Mormon you have a more ancient source of that parable which is already found in the
brass plates and so Jesus is just reiterating this as
he's as he's you know at the in the end of his life and talking about this again but uh but anyway so for me I've always
looked at it that way right that's the way I usually frame those three parables is faith hope and charity and and uh but
that takes a little bit more of an actual I mean you talk about charity but it actually takes a little more of a humanitarian temporal point of view with
that third parable and you're giving a little bit more of a spiritual type of an application to it yeah well that when
I read those things I I thought to myself well these things we call charity in fact that's what we you know
charitable donations and charities are um Salvation Army and all of these things are charity and we do each of
those things in those charities um um and in fact um I actually named my
channel Latter-day Faith Hope and Charity because there is a connection
um but if you have faith in Christ let let's put it this way if
we're sitting at an endgame a basketball game say and there's 30 seconds left on
the clock and you know you have this amazing
player your star player and and so the coach is going to turn to him and say "Okay get on." And and he knows he knows
or he has faith in him that he can make that three-pointer shot and win the game
right so for me faith is faith in Christ
meaning he is God's perfect player that will win every time and hope in him is that I
hope I put all my hope in him to get me to the celestial kingdom and because I
hope in him I'm going to share him with everyone because he's also going to get you and he's going to get your neighbor
and he's going to get everybody that he can the hope is in him not in me or what
I can do right there there's a another parable that says even the righteous are unprofitable servants we're unprofitable
because we will always owe we always have a debt we will never make a profit
ever because we owe our lives to Christ so and then
charity if you love him then you will bring souls unto him
to be healed and how do you do that on both sides of the veil that's the one
thing that other faiths do not have they do not have the uh understanding or the
the gospel or the word that can reach through the veil to all the thousands
millions and millions of souls that are sitting there and and teach them so so I
I don't know i I look at our religion i look at what has been restored to the earth at this last days and I I cannot
help but see the majesty of it i mean you you look at the garden of Eden um
this was another thing a question that came to me the garden of Eden was God the father Jesus Christ came in a garden
and then you have Jesus Christ who atoned in the meridian of time or in the
middle right for all of us he descended below all
things and he was in a garden right garden of
Gethsemane and then when you have the restoration of all things where did the father and the son
appear but in a grove of trees so when you think about patterns and you
think about the way God works you should be able to see if it is truly his you
should be able to see his pattern repeated over and over and over again right so as you look at the
parables that pattern of spiritual rebirth and exactly what he is is trying
to accomplish in this world from the foundation of the world to the end christ is always the beginning and the
end and he is going to be the one that sits on the throne and
he is going to be the one that divides us based on our works and deeds now
that's an also another really fascinating thing that he separates i think it was DNC19 uh if you're following the come
follow me you should have read that one um to me when I read scripture now and I
see the word works I think of temple ordinances the ordinances that he would
have given throughout all of time he gave them to Adam and Eve he gave them to Abraham he gave them to his apostles
they continued after he left they continued in the temple why if it was no longer needed why did they keep going it
said they went daily in Acts 2:47 they continued daily in the temple
why and they brought souls unto them that 3,000 in one day is what it says
well how do you do that if we are his end time servants and we are in that last run before his coming and the
kingdom of heaven is all of these souls who are either here on this earth or in the spirit world then it is our job with
the talents that he has given each of us for through our several abilities to go
out and make sure that those talents are entered into the hearts of all the people on both sides of the
veil because he is coming and to me every time the prophet says "Prepare the
world for the second coming," it is not we we stop we stop at the calamities
when we think second coming do we have our food stores do we have everything prepared all of these things are happening and we stop we don't realize
that his second coming is actually the point at which we stand in front of the bar of God and we are judged
we are judged on if we took what he gave us and we sent it out to everyone that
we could yeah it's I I did an episode of this very recently and people got very mad at me because it's it's like wait a
minute i'm a prepper i there's nothing wrong with prepping and and and I'm like I never say there's anything wrong with
prepping that's not what I said i said that the the it's not the you know
preparing for the second coming is temporally is secondary
to the spiritual preparation and and you know I'm not saying you shouldn't prepare you shouldn't be you know I
think that stuff's cool I think it's fun to get involved with but if my mind is completely moved over to a temporal
position of of then I'm losing the whole thing I'm I'm I'm burying the talent
right I'm I'm not I'm not taking care of things spiritually uh um as much as as as I have this zeal
for the temporal preparation right for for things now one thing I do like about what you're saying is that uh whenever I
think of whenever I look at anything in the last week of Jesus's life I always
wanted I always have it in a framework of the temple because that that is the
temple yep and and if we if we see this the last week of Jesus's life and
and people that follow the podcast understand that I I I've I've gone over this many many times but
it's that is our temple experience because because all Jesus is doing is
fulfilling the ancient Israelite temple drama that's right that that's what he is doing and and that has been taught
over and over again that was their scripture it's what they repeated they didn't have scriptures other than the
scribes and and the prophets and a few rich people right and so where did they get their scripture and their
understanding of the narrative of the gospel and the plan of salvation and everything else they got it from the festivals and the temple dramas and and
so that is the prophecy that is what people knew that's what the prophets write about they reference the temple
drama when they're talking about you know the donkey that's going to be you know Zechariah is talking about the the
donkey and you're talking about the even I think John the Baptist in in uh in
Isaiah and the suffering servant these are all rituals about the temple drama and and and Jesus comes in and he's
going to fulfill the temple drama which is our temple experience right when we
go through and you think about the what we do there starting off washing and
anointing it is about royalty it's about the king and the queen right that's
exactly what that last week starts off and all of a sudden the verbiage and the titles of Jesus become king and king of
kings y and and he goes on a royal procession to the temple
right and everything he's going to go through in the garden and and on the
cross you think about what we're doing that's what we're doing we are we are
going through the same temple drama and and and his last week and so whenever
anything is found within that last week like these three parables I I that is my
first inclination is to think about that so that's something I like about your the way you're looking at this is it's it's uh I I think that the writers know
this of the gospels and they are framing it in a temple framework
absolutely and you know I mean like I said I brought up Nicodemus well Christ says to him if I have told you of
earthly things and you haven't believed it then I can't tell you of spiritual things right um we when you listen to
prophet to president Nelson right now over these last few years he is like you
know this everyone who listens to him knows this he is absolutely begging
people to get to the temple that is his his main goal and if
you think about it if you are the prophet if you are the mouthpiece of God and God is saying "Hey I'm coming
i'm coming in my glory and I'm going to take an accounting of
everyone." Then what do you think his prophet is going to tell people get to the temple in I think it
was his last talk he said "People keep asking why are we building temples?" uh because we were told
to because everyone every door has to be knocked on every street has to be run
down right you know and and even even if you uh look at what the end goal is in
the um parable of the 10 virgins the the end
place is basically a feast where the bridegroom sits and officiates over a
meal where you are fed and and you know given drink to me that is the millennium
now we know from scripture that the morning of the first resurrection happens right at the
beginning and it's interesting to me because the five foolish
virgins leave and then come back at the end well what happens in the
millennium right there there is a resurrection of those that are but it's
at the end they just get their body but they are they did not um they were not wise they did not take
that commitment or or that covenant to obey God's laws and if you do not
covenant to obey God's laws he cannot let you into the highest degree of his
kingdom because those laws like the law of consecration is given in which
room the the terrestrial room right um
and you have to move up through those laws and work at them and the law of
consecration is more than just taking everything that you have and putting it into the bishop's storehouse and and and
yay now they just give it back to me and we're kind of living um I don't know somebody else deciding
for us it's not that the law of consecration is literally realizing that every single thing that you have whether
it be your time here on earth whether it be the talents in other words the things that God gave you the spiritual gifts
that God gave you even your very breath is only because of
him and so you everything that's celestial you can you can make a
comparison actually to that third parable as the law of consecration yeah pretty much i mean that that is you
could you could say that that's very similar law of consecration well and brother I appreciate your time i I
really think that I I have had this inclination to study those three
parables the last I don't know 6 12 months and I know that you've done this i've talked to others that have really
started to focus on this i think this is something that that you know as church members we need to try and really start
to understand what is going on with those three parables these are the last three parables that Jesus gives in his
life it is on that Tuesday of the last week of his life um and and it's in
regards to the second coming and so it's it's something we really need to understand and I think there's so much
more to it that that uh you know we've had a very primary
type of understanding of those those parables and I think that we really need to to study them out well I think that's
okay i think it's okay for us to go and and do the food drives and and donate our coats the reason I say that is
because I was telling my mother this this morning it's like it's like we um it's an onion and you peel back the
layers and you get deeper and deeper knowledge and understanding and the aroma of it starts to cause a physical
emotional reaction in you but the other layers were still a part of the onion and God is still going
to chop them up and put them in his soup and he's still going to feed us with that so I still think you know the the
charity and what we do is is absolutely needed but I I I would state that it is
the physical and the spiritual being reborn into the kingdom of God is what
he was talking about when he was uh talking to Nicodemus and a very deep
deep understanding especially for the saints in this day
yeah okay ambrosia I really appreciate it we'll talk again sometime and you're coming from Canada i'm here from Egypt
so we've got additional bases covered here cool across the world right across
the world all right and thanks so much for your time thank you so much bye
